While it’s important to act fast, it’s also important to calm yourself down and try not to make things harder on yourself. DO NOT just assume that scrubbing the stain will fix the situation.
Vinegar is a product that is found in almost every household. Almost every kitchen has vinegar, and if by chance you do not – it’s very cheap at the grocery store. While vinegar goes deliciously on fries, there is also another use for it – removing stains.
First of all – only use white vinegar as a stain removing vinegar. Other types of vinegar – such as balsamic vinegar – can make the stain much, much worse. Mix your vinegar with a cup of water and place it in a spray bottle. From there, spray the solution onto the pesky stain and dampen – do not over moisten. Then, with a cloth, simply blot out the stain.
Carbonated Water & Salt
Carbonated water is another common household item that can be helpful in removing stains. Mixed with salt, it can make for a powerful non-toxic stain remover.
Simply blot out the excessive liquid of the stain with a towel. Then, sprinkle some salt on the stain. Pour some carbonated water on the area and let sit for a few hours. After letting it sit, blot out the wet area with a towel. Hopefully, your stain will be gone!
